Leapster Case

Fits in Pixter case as well and it's a hard shell

I was just online about to purchase the case when I saw the reviews, I wanted the cartridges to be enclosed as well as a hard case. Right now it's in the Pixter case and it fits perfectly so I guess I'll keep it there and perhaps get another Pixter case for the pixter although they don't use that as much any more.

Not the greatest, but will do....

I actually found this item on sale at walmart for $5.00, and so I purchased it. It works OK. True, there is not much "padding" and I am a bit scared to put cartridges in the back in fear that they might fall out, but I haven't had any problems with it so far. I WOULD NOT, however, speend $17 on this item. I wish that I could sell this item on amazon! I'd buy a bunch and sell em on here for $10.

A must have!

Along with absolutely LOVING our leapster, I love the case, too. I do find it protective enough (if it's not, then the kids aren't responsible enough to own the Leapster in the first place). It's sturdy enough to protect in case of an accidental drop and keeps any spills, etc., away from the leapter. Would it protect the leapster from a hard throw? Probably not - thus not for rougher kids.
I do agree with the reviewer who said the cartridge pocket should have a zipper - I'd feel a tad better knowing there was more keeping them in then just the velcro.

Great Concept, but never works properly!!!

I am on my 2nd leappad and the newest one has the microphone and writing pen. I really like the books and all, but the book always seem to break down!! My son (4 yrs) is gentle, but from the get go the book ATE BATTERIES and volume doesn't work well, on and off constantly, etc. He has lost interest because he cannot get it to work consistently. At this point, we have invested over $100 (books, pad, batteries) and have nothing to show for it.
My friend forewarned me about this product as she finally just threw hers away due to the same problems and it was causing alot of frustration for her daughter. I should have listened!!
I think the fisher price books might be a better buy!

Great toy

My daughter loves it. We have many books and an old reader, but since the price was right, we just bought it.
Note: I checked at the local Toy'sRUs store and the price was more than double. When asked, their associate informed me that they do not match prices offered through their internet store. Lesson: Never buy anything in a local store. Always check on their internet store.

very pleased!

was skeptical, since i don't like to spend a lot of money esp on toys, that are interesting only for a day or so, and never touched again, but since the price was half off, I decided to risk and give it a try. my 3yr old daughter LOVES it! she plays w/ it all the time. it's been about 2months and i'm surprised she hasn't gotten bored with it yet! my only wish is that the pages were "little brother proof", as he always gets to it, and wrinkles and even has ripped the pages. maybe they'll invent something a little more durable , like vinyl pages or something in the future. other than that, i'm VERY pleased!!

Great Batman

My son got this Batman figure free when he bought the Deluxe Batmobile. He says "I like this Batman's color because it's cool and shiny. I like it because it's different from my other Batman figures."

Bronze is not the best

This action figure looks cool but the batarang is a little flimsy and it is a real trick to try to get Batman to hold it.
It is a sturdy toy but best for display.
